My name is Melissa Chinn. I have chosen to invest in real estate to support my future retirement, fund my son’s college education and continue the legacy of my late father, Ronald Chinn.

My father died of a massive heart attack when I was only 10 years old. He was only 42 years old. The sole provider for our family of 5 (Dad, Mom, 2 older sisters), so when he passed away it was very much a shock to our family.

Purchase History

In 2014, I sold my portion of our family farm in Salinas, California known as the Hettrick Ranch. I did a 1031-exchange, which allows you to avoid paying capital gains taxes selling an investment property and reinvesting the proceeds from the sale within certain time limits in properties of like-kind and equal or greater value.
